Stable Isotopes - Labeled Compounds
Labelled compounds: The use of labelled compounds free from any contamination (by the active pharmaceutical ingredient API) is essential to the studies value by MS assays. It’s important to have sufficient isotopes (Deuterium, 13C or 15N) to avoid any analyte contamination and isotope overlapping. The positions of deuterium incorporation by reactions exchange or from the commercially available labelled compounds is specifically choosen to maintain the isotopic level inchanged during the quantitative MS assays. The Metabolic positions and the presence of halogens in compounds are considered with a particular attention, like in examples below.

Stable Isotopes - Abundances %
The key elements in organic chemistry are carbon (C), hydrogen (H), nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), chlorine (Cl), and bromine (Br). These elements naturally occur as mixtures of isotopes, which significantly influence the isotope distribution.
5-Hydroxy omeprazole standards
Omeprazole is primarily hydroxylated by CYP2C19 into 5-hydroxyomeprazole. 5-Hydroxy omeprazole retains the general structure of Omeprazole with an additional hydroxyl group on the pyridine ring, increasing its hydrophilicity.
